About Us

This is the official platform for teaching Swahili online .It is a collaborative partnership between Swahiliprime and BAKITA.

All courses are taught by Certified Swahili Instructors from Baraza la Kiswahili la Taifa (National Swahili Council, abbreviated as BAKITA) which is a Tanzanian institution responsible with regulating and promoting the Kiswahili language.

SWAHILI IS EASY TO LEARN Swahili is the easiest African language to learn. It’s also much easier to read as you read out Swahili words just the way they are written.
The African Union has recently adopted Swahili as official working language. The Africa Union, which is made up of 55 member states, has recently officially adopted Swahili as an official working language.
WORLD KISWAHILI LANGUAGE DAY:
UNESCO has recently declared July 7 as the World Kiswahili Language Day.That makes the language to became the first dialect on the continent to get recognized by Unesco.

It is probably the most widely used African language in radio broadcasts in the world. You can tune in to Swahili programs in major broadcasting houses like VOA (America), BBC (England), and Deutsche Welle (Germany).
It is also used in broadcasts in India, Japan, and China We have seen several featured films are used some Swahili words movies like Black Panther,The Lion King,The A-Team, The last King of Scotland ,Ali and many more has used some Swahili words.
